An important aspect of every project we work on is the balance between reliability and originality. We find that originality comes in the form on bringing new science to the world and it is often the role of the story and the images to bring some relatability.

This animation that we create as we enter the mind of the scientists leans on a retro future aesthetic recently popularised by CyberPunk 2077 and the renaissance of synthwave music.
​
In this project we supported the scientists as they wrote their scripts, filmed the interviews and storyboarded, designed and animated the animation. The animation was created using a combination of stop motion and 2D motion graphics. You can find some images from our process at the bottom of this page.
